Sousa Green Committee End-of-Year Recycling & Donation!
At the end of each school year, the Sousa Green Committee donates used text books, workbooks and other leftover school supplies to non-profit, charitable and community organizations. This past summer, the lightly used books were donated to Better World Books, an organization that collects and sells books online to fund literacy initiatives worldwide.
The worn text and workbooks were disposed of through the Town of North Hempstead's recycling program and leftover supplies were donated to churches, children's programs and preschools in the Port Washington area.
If anyone would like to be involved next year, please contact:
Sima Vasa email@example.com
